However, the rapid pace took a deadly toll on November 17th when a section of the upper floors collapsed, killing hundreds of workers. The tragedy was compounded by the rushed and brutal efforts to resume construction, leaving the remains of the dead entombed within the building's foundation.
As the inaugural Film Festival commenced, attendees reported mysterious occurrences. Dresses stained with what appeared to be wet concrete or blood, and guests experiencing sudden medical episodes that left them incapacitated.
