What about industrial civilizations like our own? If humans were to suddenly vanish, our impact on the planet would still be evident for millions of years. Despite the compelling evidence of human history, we have found no traces of an industrial alien civilization. This leads us to a humbling realization: The continuation of our civilization is not guaranteed. If we are not careful, we may disappear forever, leaving behind only a faint geological footprint.
